One of the most common mistakes you can make when cleansing is using harsh astringents, chemical peels, and overly drying face masks to soak up every last bit of shine. The problem is, if the skin is stripped from its natural oils, it goes into overdrive causing excess sebum buildup. This results in an even oilier complexion, and increases the chances of clogged pores which can cause or exacerbate acne.
So while it may seem counterintuitive to slather on facial oils when you have combination or oily skin, it actually works wonders to balance excess sebum production and prevent breakouts. There are plenty of additional benefits to incorporating facial oils into your skincare regime, as different oils all have their own special properties
Some of the most popular facial oils used to combat oily, acne prone skin is Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, and Sea Buckthorn Oil. All three of these luxurious oils are found in DERMA E’s Radiant Glow Face Oil, which also contains concentrated nutrients and antioxidants such as vitamins E & B to soothe inflammation, diminish fine lines, and control acne breakouts.
How to Use Facial Oils
One of the most popular ways to apply face oils is to just massage two to three drops onto clean, dry skin at night before bed. However, another way to incorporate face oils into your daily skincare routine is to use an oil based cleanser instead of your current gel or cream cleanser. DERMA E’s Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil washes away dirt, makeup, and other impurities while locking in essential hydration for a healthy skin tone.
As you can see, integrating a face oil into your daily skincare routine has a wide range of benefits! Which method would you be most interested in trying for yourself? Leave a comment below to share!

This is great news!!! I can’t believe I’ve been wrong all this time. I have oily Skin but more recently I feel my skin is more oily then normal. Can it be overcompensating? Possibly. I would like to get them back in control and I would of never guessed to fight oil with oil. This brand and in particular this oil has been in my radar since I follow the beautiful sunkiss Alba but just didn’t know if I would be doing my skin a disservice or a favor. I definitely do not want to make oils worse. It’s so hard to know the quality of oils that are used. I know not all oils are created equal. But I’ve read and heard Derma-e is known for their quality natural Ingredients. Definitely worth a shot! And who doesn’t want to glow✨ With out the excessive shine?
I began using jojoba oil many years ago after recovering from acne. It helped clear and smooth my skin so well, I incorporate an oil routine everyday. Would love to try these DermaE oils as I love the brand and heard so many positive reviews!
I have used face oils but not these and I would love to try them. Wasn’t too sure at first, it did seem rather oily, but after application I was liking the way it felt.
Tried ur facial cream before and I loved it. I’m excited to try this out
I would love to try facial oils!
I’m nervous to try but this blog has me super curious!
Hi I’m a member of DERMAE!! I would definitely try the nightly oil routine first, hope to win both so I can honestly put these2 oils to the test, my skin is exactly as you guys describe and thank you for going into details about how they would work on someone like me. At first I thought surely would make skin worse, but I do see how could help so thank you again, now lets see if I’m fortunate enough to win them😍! I’m ready to see healthy face, I’ve lost my sparkle in my eyes due to other health conditions and well my poor face, be nice to have healthy glow again, well I’ve never had healthy glow because I’m just now in my 50’s learning what to do and not too do when comes to skincare 🙏💜
I’ve been wanting to incorporate an oil into my skincare routine I just have not been able to figure out which ones to use. I’ve also been preaching to my sister about trying face oils for her oily skin for months now and she is scared to try them so hopefully this blog helps change her mind.
