Winter skin care comes with the need for extra hydration, moisturizing, and lots of exfoliation. Due to the dry, cold, frigid temperatures of the colder months, skin can require more moisture and attention than in the warmer months. In the spring and summer, there is more moisture naturally in the air and less is needed to keep skin looking vibrant. If you are looking for ways to transition your skin from winter to spring, keep reading for efficient skin care tips and tricks!

Lighten up

Unless you have extremely dry skin, using a lightweight moisturizer can be highly effective for the springtimeLightweight moisturizers allow your skin to breathe while adding essential hydration and keeping skin well nourished. Our lightweight Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer with Rooibos and Probiotics helps to naturally support collagen health while protecting skin from pollutants and impurities. Skin is left feeling deeply moisturized without the heaviness, or stickiness that can be caused by wearing heavy moisturizers in the winter.

Go water-based

While oil-based serums can be potent for the winter, water-based serums are highly effective for use in the spring and summer. Oil-based serums can deeply penetrate the skin, keeping moisture in place. Water-based serums which can be formulated with water or aloe, also lock in moisture but are more lightweight. Our Hyaluronic Acid Ultra Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Green Tea plumps skin full of moisture and nutrients so it appears softer and smoother with fewer visible lines and wrinkles.

Exfoliate

During the winter months we can pack on dry, lackluster skin. Exfoliation is highly effective for getting rid of dead skin cells and giving skin a more radiant youthful appearance. Exfoliating at least once a week will allow for serums and moisturizers to penetrate the skin better as well makes way for easier makeup application. To rid the face of dry skin overnight, our Overnight Peel with Alpha Hydroxy Acids is highly recommended. This skin-brightening, non-abrasive blend of alpha hydroxyl acids exfoliates while you sleep and visibly retexturize for a healthy, youthful and glowing appearance. For a spa like experience, our dermatologist recommended Microdermabrasion Scrub works to buffs skin, helping to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.
